Handheld devices/ PDA technology
For optimum use of Safeguard, the system can be accessed through a PDA with web access. Live access ensures that users can fully access full Safeguard functionality to perform the tasks they need within the system. This ensures that checklists and audits can be completed on the move. Where audits need to be completed without web connectivity, these can be taken off-line for completion, to be synchronised to the real time system on return to the office.
Mobile phone and email devices
Safeguard’s sophisticated system of notifications can be configured to ensure that crucial information is conveyed to the right people at the right time. This may be notification of an accident or incident, or an alert to the fact that a risk assessment, audit review, or accident investigation is overdue. Notifications can be sent by email, easily retrieved by mobile email devices. Alternatively, for alerts to be received away from the office environment, notifications can be sent my SMS (text message) to any type of phone.
